A Castle in Drôme Steeped in History
Grignan Castle is built on a rocky promontory, dominating the village of Grignan.
A fortified castle in the 11th century, it was transformed during the Renaissance into a magnificent pleasure residence where the Marquise de Sévigné stayed with her daughter in the 22nd century.
Rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century following the revolution, it has belonged to the Drôme department since 1979.
The site was classified as a historical monument in 1993 and labeled a Museum of France. The department works for its restoration and preservation.
This magnificent, well-maintained castle will offer you a unique moment between architecture and history.
