Starting from our campsite in Drôme near Montélimar, many walks are available to you thanks to the proximity of a trail that allows, among other things, to reach the Saoû forest. You can take advantage of the quiet paths nearby to go for a walk through the forests, coves, and gorges that make up this exceptional landscape, enjoying the multiple views and panoramas of the region. You can also reconnect with nature in the breathtaking setting of Drôme and its many little corners of paradise. Embark on an adventure from Camping Porte de Provence amidst hills, green landscapes, rivers, and the most beautiful villages in France to enjoy a family moment and create unforgettable holiday memories.


Fun Outing for the Whole Family
During your holidays at the campsite in Drôme, opt for one of the many fun walks available to you. Go with family or friends for a donkey ride to discover the environment the region has in store for you. You can also enjoy an orienteering course in the various leisure centers of Drôme to playfully discover its fauna and flora.
Alternatively, head to the educational trail of the Marsanne forest, near the campsite, to observe the forest area, climb trees, or even try your hand at land art (an art using natural materials). Finally, slow-tourism enthusiasts can let themselves be carried along through the most beautiful villages of Drôme and have fun on a cultural walk. Nothing beats escaping the daily grind by taking your time to enjoy a breath of fresh air in nature while chatting with the locals. Mountain Bike Rides
For thrill-seekers, mountain biking or downhill cycling will suit you perfectly. It’s up to you to hurtle down the hills, follow the steep paths, and pedal at full speed through the hilly nature of Drôme.
Finally, road cycling is a must in our department. The most experienced climbers can brave the hundred or so passes in the vicinity, while riders can enjoy long trails of several tens, or even hundreds of kilometers.
The Drômoise route is also an event not to be missed; it is indeed one of the biggest cyclosportives in France.

Families who enjoy cycle tourism will easily find their happiness by spending their holidays with us. They can enjoy an extraordinary environmental richness and can stop at any time in one of the many tourist spots nearby. Many marked circuits and secure routes will allow you to savor your excursion, no matter your level! Food lovers, for example, can enjoy the “Bike and Cheese” rides.
Other more cultural walks, such as “In the Footsteps of the Huguenots”, allow you to delve into history. Finally, the ‘Chemins du Soleil’ (Sun Paths) take you through lush nature between Rhône, Southern Alps, Vercors, and Provence.

Great Cycling Routes not to be Missed
Drôme is a wonderful destination for cyclists of all levels. The region is full of cycle routes and greenways (VVV) that offer distinct original circuits.
The 3 Main Ones:
- Viarhôna: The Viarhôna is a cycling route that runs along the Rhône for over 800 kilometers. Mainly composed of greenways, you can use this route to discover Valence and Montélimar, which are among the essential destinations of the Viarhôna.
- Isère Valley: Take the V63, a route located in the Isère valley, and enjoy many varied terrains (mountains, lake shores, undergrowth…) to observe at your own pace the many corners of Drôme.
- Velodrome: For 100% hybrid bike (all-terrain bike) holidays, discover the Drôme valley (one of Europe’s last wild torrential rivers) thanks to the small paths and communal roads available to you in the corners of Drôme.
